Scandinavian audio brand AIAIAI is proud to announce Remixed, a new initiative allowing listeners to trade in, repair, and repurpose their used AIAIAI headphones.

Through the programme, customers can trade their headphones or parts for credit towards a new or refurbished pair, with the aim of reducing electronic waste. Headphones traded in as part of the programme will be professionally inspected by AIAIAI engineers before being  revamped and remixed to extend their lifetime.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency, electronic waste is one of the fastest-growing waste streams globally, with millions of tons of ‘e-waste’ generated each year (United Nations estimated the global e-waste generation in 2019 was 53.6 million tons). Remixed aims to combat this issue by making it easier for users to repair and trade in their AIAIAI headphones and help prevent them from ending up in landfills.

“We are excited to launch Remixed, our latest sustainability initiative, building on years of focus on responsible product design. With Remixed, we not only provide our customers with further options to extend the life of their modular headphones, we are also supporting sustainability and reducing e-waste.” said Frederik Jorgensen, Founder, AIAIAI.

This comes as part of AIAIAI’s long-standing commitment towards responsible product design. Having created the world’s first modular headphones, the TMA-2. With Remixed, the Danish audio innovators take the next step in their journey towards creating headphones to last a lifetime.

Remixed is available now at AIAIAI’s website starting with the EU and coming soon Worldwide. For more information visit https://aiaiai.audio/remixed
